Crime Alert – Burglary Suspect

Last night, DPD sent out the alert below regarding three residential burglaries believed to be connected. Although none of these happened within the LGNA Crime Watch area, they were nearby. The first incident was in the 61xx block of Palo Pinto, the second in the 51xx block of Ridgedale and the third (which happened yesterday morning) was in the 51xx block of Vanderbilt. August 2012 Crime Report

Let’s face it, we had a pretty rough month. Here are a couple of updates:
– The double murder that occurred midmonth was probably the worst tragedy our neighborhood has seen in a long time. Fortunately, a suspect was quickly identified and arrested.

Wal-Mart Update

Melissa Kingston was asked by the group of area neighborhood associations to act as the neighborhood representative for negotiations with Walmart regarding its new store opening in the former Whole Foods space on Lowest Greenville. Melissa (an LGNA resident many of you know) provided this update:
