December crime stats are in and we mostly had another good month. We are down on total incidents and residentials thefts. BMVs would have been down were it not for 5 car break-ins that occurred at in the parking garage under 24-Hour Fitness. This garage has persistently been a magnet for theives, so try to park on top if possible when you go there. Continue reading “December 2010 Crime Report”

November 2010 Crime Report
We had another fairly good month with a low number of total offenses overall. However, the numbers of home break-ins and car break-ins were about typical. Just a quick holiday reminder to please have packages delivered to your office or have them require a signature for delivery. Leaving packages on your porch this time of year is not a good idea. October 2010 Crime Report
I’m happy to report that I have very little to report this month. The reported crime in the residentail part of the neighborhood was one of the lowest on record, about a third of the normal amount. The full reports are below. Last month I told you about the murder that occurred on Lowest Greenville after hours. Although they’ve collected some evidence no arrest has been made and the investigation is still ongoing. Continue reading “October 2010 Crime Report”
September 2010 Crime Report
After a two month crime wave, I’m happy to say that we are back down to normal levels. After the big spike in home burglaries in July, we bumped up our ENP hours to 15 per week instead of the usual 10 hours. As a result, we were down in every category, but especially lower on residential thefts and burglaries. Unfortunately, we do not have enough members in the ENP program to maintain the higher level of patrols year round, so we have moved back to 10 hours a week. (Yes, that’s a plug for more members!) For more information on the program, click the ENP link on the menu above. Continue reading “September 2010 Crime Report”
August 2010 Crime Report
Crime reports for the month of August are below. After last month’s whopping crime wave, we asked our Extended Neighborhood Patrol officer to add an additional 5-hour patrol shift each week for a month or so. This is in addition to the normal 10 hours he patrols. We do not have enough members at this time to maintain that level year round, but things are getting back to normal. The number of home break-ins fell back to the typical level (from 21 last month to 13 this month), but car break-ins are still higher than we’d like to see. There were four robberies this month, three on our residential streets. Continue reading “August 2010 Crime Report”
