On April 14th, 2011, the Vickery Place Neighborhood Association will be hosting a mayoral debate with all four candidates. The debate will be held at Vickery Towers in the main dining room. Vickery Towers is located at the corner of Belmont and Greenville. The debate begins at 7:15pm.
WHO WILL BE OUR NEXT MAYOR?
In addition to Vickery Place NA, residents of the Belmont, Cochran Heights, Greenland Hills, Henderson, Hudson Heights, Lakewood Heights, Lower Greenville, Lowest Greenville West and Munger Place Neighborhood Associations are invited to attend.
All four mayoral hopefuls will participate in the forum: former Dallas Police Chief David Kunkle, District 12 City Councilmember Ron Natinsky, Real Estate executive Edward Okpa and City of Dallas Park Board president Mike Rawlings. The meeting will be facilitated by Vickery Place resident Bruce Thomas, who led the 2007 VPNA Mayoral Forum as well as City Councilmember candidate meetings in past years. To accommodate the schedules of the candidates, our meeting will begin at 7:15 pm. Please submit your questions for the candidates ahead of time by emailing info@vpna.org or submitting in writing before the meeting begins the night of the event. If time allows, questions may also be taken from the floor.
This is one of a number of forums taking place throughout the City before Election Day on May 14, 2011. Come hear what these candidates have to say about being the next Mayor of Dallas.
