Halloween Block Party + Parade – Sat, Oct 26, 2-5pm

Don’t forget that Saturday, Oct 26, 2024 is LGNA’s annual “It’s Fall, Y’all!” Block Party & Costume Parade. It will be held on Concho at Palo Pinto, 2pm-5pm.

Whether you live down by Ross, up by Mockingbird, or any point in between, all LGNA residents are welcome to come and join in the fun!

The event is BYOB, but we will have water & beer to share. There will also be food for purchase.

Activities include:

This event serves as LGNA’s version of National Night Out, which is designed to bring neighbors together, foster community, and promote neighborhood safety.

Any proceeds from the event will be passed along to the Peace Pantries at Geneva Heights Elementary School and Mockingbird Elementary School.

Celebrate Tietze Park’s 100th Birthday Festivities – 3 Nov 2024

Tietze Park celebrates its 100th birthday this year, having been founded in 1924! On Sunday, November 3, 2024, 1:30-4:30pm, Friends of Tietze Park (FOTP) plans to honor this special year with an exciting community celebration in the park.

Get involved by volunteering, sponsoring an activity, donating, and more! Check out the official FOTP Centennial website for more information.

This event will be free to all attendees and include:

It’s Fall Y’all – Halloween Block Party – 26 Oct 2024

For our “It’s Fall Y’all” event this year, LGNA is again hosting a Halloween-themed Block Party on Saturday, October 26 with spooky fun for “kids” of all ages. It will be held from 2pm to 5pm on Concho between Palo Pinto and Velasco. There will be live music, lots of food and drink, seasonal family-friendly activities, a Halloween Costume Parade for families (and pets), and lots of opportunities to hang with old friends and meet new neighbors. The event is free but donations are welcome to help offset the costs and to support the Peace Pantry food banks, which serve students in need at our two elementary schools, Geneva Heights and Mockingbird.

The Halloween Costume Parade will leave from the Block Party around 4:00pm. Parade spectators and those giving out candy can line up along  Concho between Palo Pinto and Goliad and along Delmar between Goliad and Velasco. Parade participants will return to the Block Party for the awarding of costume contest prizes. Families from across LGNA are welcome to participate.

ForwardDallas Summit – 18 Sep 2024

What is FowardDallas & Why Should You Care?

The Dallas Express and Candy’s Dirt will host a summit on ForwardDallas and the proposed comprehensive plan changes including the Dallas City Council’s push for higher residential density, ostensibly to address the perceived housing affordability issue.
