About LGNA

Just two miles from downtown Dallas, you’ll find a delightful neighborhood nestled under a canopy of trees.

The members of the Lower Greenville Neighborhood Association invite you to explore our historic and charming neighborhood, known for its front-porch friendliness.

Developed in the 1920′s, Lower Greenville remains a vibrant and thriving neighborhood that features single and multi-family homes, two elementary schools, two churches and a wide variety of shops and restaurants clustered along Greenville Avenue.

Take a walk through Lower Greenville and notice the interesting details of the architecture. Many homes-ranging from Tudor, Prairie and Craftsman styles-feature intriguing alcoves, beautiful stained glass windows and wide, welcoming porches. The interiors are just as remarkable, with original wood floors, artisan-built fireplaces and colorful ceramic tile.

Our neighborhood, which is close to White Rock Lake, North Park Mall, Southern Methodist University, is bounded to the north by Mockingbird Lane, to the east by Skillman, to the west by Greenville Avenue and to the south by Ross (see map). Nearby public transportation includes DART bus lines and a DART light rail station.

Per our by-laws, all residents in the area are non-voting members of the association. To become a voting member, dues are $10 per year, $5 for seniors. Membership is open to all residents, both owners and renters. To become a voting member, download our membership form and return it to the address on the form.
